Error of Prosperity Gospel

Hello Sir,

Happy New Year sir, sorry if this is coming rather informally. I read the above named article sometimes last year in one of the dailies, and for me it was an encouraging one, since I am deeply concerned about the unbalanced emphasis on materialism in the church.

As a young Christian, I went out in search of materials that look at this disturbing trend in light of the Scriptures, and I found Jim Baker's "Prosperity and the Coming Apocalypse", that for me was a major eye-opener, and it gave me an immense insight into the health-and-wealth ravaging Christ's Church.

I intend to start writing materials in my own little way to warn young believers in my community of the dangers of imbibing materialistic Christianity popular in Nigeria.

Although, a lone voice is crying in the person of people like you, the deafening voice of the give-and-take gospel seems to have silenced those warning Christ's Church.

We must keep on warning the Church of Christ most especially these closing days.
